Helsinki Flight duration: 3h45

Helsinki

Helsinki is a city of contrasts: In this capital, 19th- and 20th-century architecture mixes with modern, innovative constructions. The “daughter of the Baltic” (the city’s nickname) is known for its innovative design, but it also lives in harmony with nature, as does the rest of Finland. The sea is omnipresent in Helsinki, and the city has many islands where the Finnish congregate in the summer. The city is also known for its fine food, with several restaurants offering traditional fare or novel cuisine by young chefs.
